Terms of service

The agreement

Sightpane is a client portal and agency workspace operated by Wedge Studio, a design and development studio in Los Angeles, California. These terms cover sightpane.com and the app at app.sightpane.com. By using Sightpane, you agree to them.

If you use Sightpane for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you are allowed to. If your company has a signed agreement with Wedge Studio, that agreement wins where the two differ.

Agencies, clients and teams

An agency runs its client projects in Sightpane and invites its team and its clients. Wedge Studio is one such agency. The agency is responsible for the people it invites and for how its workspace is used. Clients use Sightpane to follow their own projects, and may invite colleagues to them.

Your account

Accounts start from an invite. Keep your sign in details private, keep your details accurate and tell us right away at david@wedgestudio.dev if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content

Everything you and your agency put into Sightpane stays yours, including projects, messages, files and invoices. You give us permission to store, process and show it only as needed to run Sightpane for you, as described in the privacy policy.

You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it. Do not upload anything you are not allowed to share.

Acceptable use

Please use Sightpane for real project work, and do not do any of the following.

• Break the law, or help someone else break it.
• Upload malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Try to get into accounts, projects or systems you are not allowed to see, or test Sightpane's security without our written permission.
• Overload Sightpane, scrape it or copy it to build a competing product.
• Resell or rent Sightpane to others without an agreement with us.

Sightpane AI

Sightpane AI is built on Claude, made by Anthropic, and answers from the project content you can see. AI answers can be wrong or incomplete. Check the sources it shows before you rely on an answer, and do not treat it as legal, financial or other professional advice. Before the AI changes anything, it asks you to confirm, and you are responsible for what you confirm.

MCP and agent tokens

Agencies can connect AI agents through MCP with tokens they create. Each token is limited to the access and projects you choose, and every call is logged. Keep tokens secret and revoke any that may have leaked. You are responsible for what your agents do with them.

Fees

Fees for Sightpane, if any, are agreed in writing with Wedge Studio, in a proposal or an order. For Wedge Studio clients, Sightpane comes with the project. Fees do not include taxes, which you pay where they apply.

Invoices that an agency shows its clients in Sightpane are that agency's own. Sightpane does not process payments, and questions or disputes about those invoices are between the agency and its client.

Our part

We own Sightpane, its software, design and name. These terms give you the right to use it, not to own it. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve Sightpane without owing you anything for it.

We work to keep Sightpane available, secure and fast, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something you rely on, we tell you ahead of time.

Export and deletion

You can ask for an export of your data in a common format at any time by emailing david@wedgestudio.dev. When an agency leaves, it can ask for an export first, and we then delete its workspace, apart from anything the law requires us to keep. You can also ask us to delete your own account and data. The privacy policy explains how.

Ending your use

You can stop using Sightpane at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or Sightpane at risk, and we tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. The sections on your content, fees owed, our part, disclaimers, liability and the law that applies continue after an account ends.

Disclaimers

Sightpane is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Wedge Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about Sightpane is limited to the amount you paid us for Sightpane in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

If your use of Sightpane, or your content, causes a claim against us by someone else, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Before going to court, please email us so we can try to sort it out together.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update them here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell agencies by email before it takes effect. Using Sightpane after that means you accept the new terms.
